Ricardo Montalban is dead

Ricardo Montalban, famous for, among other things, playing the inimitable villian Khan Noonian Singh in a Star Trek episode and later reprising that role in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, has died at the age of 88.

Doctors declined to comment on rumors that Montalban was killed by a deadly mind-controlling ear eel.
