Check out "Argue with Everyone" - a debate forum whose moderator was kind enough to add this humble blog to its link list. Of course, he classified Sinister as a "liberal" blog, but I guess you can't really classify the blog of an "erstwhile communist with a pragmatic progressive outlook."
